Whether you’re a beginner, an intermediate or even an expert, you’ve probably wondered about the different styles of yoga and if you should try one. We hope the flow chart below will help shed some light on the subject. Quiz yourself by answering each of the questions and following the line to the next question until you land on a style. This is the simplest way to decide if another style is right for you or possibly even where to get started with yoga.

Finding your favorite style of yoga is like having a favorite shirt; it may be the most comfortable but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t wear other shirts. Yoga comes in many shapes and sizes. Make sure you try as many as you’re comfortable with. You may find that a new favorite is right under your nose.

The real truth is that there is no right or wrong answer to this question. Meaning that there may not be one single style of yoga that’s right for you. My recommendation is to eventually get around to trying them all at some point. If you should land yourself in Bikram Yoga, make sure you bring a towel!
