Beginner Yoga Challenge: Halfway Lift

Benefits of the Halfway Lift: Helps relieve stress and mild depression while calming the brain. Ardha Uttanasana improves digestion, reduces fatigue and anxiety, and helps fight insomnia. It also strengthens the knees and leg muscles. Don’t lift your head or look forward if you have any sort of neck injury.
- From Mountain pose, bend at the hips with your back straight.
- Extend your arms out to your knees, keeping your legs straight.
- Keep your head in line with your spine and stretch the muscles in your legs, shoulders and back.
Modifications: For a stronger stretch, slowly bring your groins closer to the pelvis.
