Beginner Yoga Challenge: Camel Pose

Benefits of the Camel Pose or Ustarasana: Improves posture, stimulates abdominal muscles and strengthens your back.

  • Start by sitting on your knees;
  • Lift your pelvis and thighs forward and toward the sky;
  • Arch your back behind you and press your palms against your feet;
  • Let gravity slowly lower your head toward the floor. Keep knees at the width of your hips.

Modifications: You can make the pose more challenging by performing it with your feet, legs and thighs together.
