Ashwaganda, Maitake Mushroom and Indian Gooseberry
According to their website: “Ashwagandha is a shrub widely used throughout the Himalayas. It grows in both the wild and is cultivated in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal. The shrub bears yellow flowers and berry-like red fruits, but is generally used for the adaptagenic qualities of its root. Ashwagandha has been used for over 2,500 years in Ayurvedic medicine as a general tonic to promote overall wellbeing and/or to directly affect specific physical conditions. More specifically it is believed to support immune function, aid digestion, enhance physical endurance, and even counteract the effects of stress. In Southern Asia it is also believed to boost fertility for women and support sexual function for men.”
According to their website: “Maitake Mushroom (Grifola frondosa) is an edible mushroom grown in the mountain regions of northeastern Japan and in the United States. Prized for its health benefits in traditional Chinese practices, since the mid-1980s Maitake has been the subject of research studies first in Japan, Taiwan and finally the United States. The substance in the Maitake thought to be beneficial in humans is called beta-glucan. Although popularly used in cooking, Maitake extract may offer more benefits than consuming the whole mushroom in its food form.”
According to their website: “Indian Gooseberry, also called Amla from the Sanskrit amalika, is a small tree known for its nourishing, edible fruit, crooked trunk and spreading branches. Its greenish-yellow flowers produce hard, light-greenish yellow spherical fruits that ripen during autumn in the wet forests of hill areas in the Indian subcontinent.
The fibrous berry can have an astringent, sour or bitter taste, however, it is said to be a fantastic source of antioxidants, which in turn help protect from free radicals. In Ayurvedic tradition, it has a wide range of uses, and is a primary ingredient in many herbal formulations.”
A Blue Buddha a day can help keep the doctor away! The antioxidants from Maitake Mushroom help support a healthy immune function. Indian Gooseberry is also a powerful broad spectrum antioxidant that helps protect cells from the damaging effects of free radicals.
Blue Buddha’s proprietary blend of organic Ashwagandha and Indian Gooseberry helps support healthy cardiovascular function. These efficacious herbs have also been shown to protect against the visible signs of aging, boosting energy levels, and increased resistance to fatigue.
